These pants feel like they are up to the the job of protecting me from the elements. Minimal armor in the knees, none in the hips where you need them. I like the abrasion resistant patches on the knees but I don't like the pockets. Waterproof pockets are on top of the thigh and are too small for a large phone but OK for a wallet. The regular side pockets keep everything right in your crotch. Sizing is spot on if you want them to fit like jeans. I recommend going a size up if you plan on not riding commando. Vents are minimal and the forward facing top vents are small and might allow airflow while standing but probably not while sitting on a bike. Have not tried them yet, however.

Love them. With that being said, this is my first set of ADV gear. So I have nothing to compare them to. But, I do love these pants. I don’t see me needing a fancier or more expensive pair. These pants "do" everything I need them to do…. And do it comfortably. A few gripes though. First, the hip pads are just kinda in there dangling. I removed them for a better fit. Second, they’re hot. If you’re riding in 80 degrees, you’re going to sweat. But I guess that would be the case for most gear. Lastly, I feel that they’d be way more comfortable if they had a little stretch in the waist.

Quality materials, quality constructions and sewing. These pants flow air well around the thighs at 15MPH and above when standing, ventilation seem non-existent at lower speeds or while sitting. There is no airflow to the crotch so expect a soggy backside when riding slow or seated in temps over 90. My search for a quality pant for riding spring, summer and fall in Arizona will continue as this pant does not flow enough air for me.

Great pant. Fit was great. Worked well with my Asterisk knee pads. Only thing that sucks is there in no pocket for a map. Where does the trail map go now?
