The MSR Mav4 MIPS Helmet is the performance leader in high-value off-road helmets and features Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) technology as well as many other high-end features. MIPS was developed by brain surgeons and scientists to reduce rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head. Adding MIPS to the Mav4 helmet brings state-of-the-art safety technology for which other companies charge double. Safety is key with all MSR helmets, and the Mav4 MIPS passes two of the toughest safety standards today (DOT and ECE). Comfort is addressed with their round-oval shell shape and the top of the liner SilverCool® wicking material in the interior. Shell design features great venting, a strengthened chinbar and a large eye port that accommodates most goggles including over-the-glasses types.
