Tough pants!

Just like the jersey the pants are built with extra thick protection and they have definitely stood up against some very tough terrain! My last pants (no name calling) had rips after the first ride through scrub brush. The MSR pants have lived up to their hype and have not succumbed to the dreaded scrub brush. I can see getting many seasons out of these. I would like to see a little more ventilation but can live with them the way they are.

Good

Good pants overall. Heavy could be a bit hot in the summer but the vents help. Had to go up a size from normal pants size.
Only complaint is that the mesh for the vents got caught in the zipper and has a small tear now. Would buy again.

Great so far, good value

Great quality and value. They are well made. The fit is true, a bit baggier than expected down the legs but that's good for layers. The material is thick, seems durable, and a little stiff. I assume they will break in nicely. These are very comfortable in warm weather, non-restrictive, and they fit easily over MX boots. I'm happy with them and will buy again.

Great fitting pants!

These pants are really very nice, exactly what I was looking for. I like that they are fairly light weight, not so stiff, and fit really well, almost like a regular pair of pants. I wear a size 32 in regular pants, but I need a belt with them, and a size 32 in the Legend pants fit perfect without cinching down the side adjusters. So if you are at the upper end of your waist size you may want to size up. The material is still a good durable fabric offering good protection and they have a very nice leather strip on the inside of the legs. I do wish the leg cuffs were just a little bit bigger. They fit over my Alpinestar Tech 7 boots, but are just a little bit snug. They will work though and I do like that they aren't too baggy down there either. No problems wearing my knee and shin guards underneath, there is a nice amount of flexibility at the knees. I think these will work great for three season riding in our Michigan weather, but if you are in an area with really hot weather you may want something with more ventilation.

Worth every penny

Loving these pants so far. The size was true to fit and are very well made. Definitely worth the price.

Great purchase more than I would have expected

The pants held up well in the most unfortunate incident. I went down at around 35 miles an hour and slid about 20 feet. The pants had small tears in the knees but held up way better than expected

Great pants

These are very heavy duty pants. I usually wear a 36 but after reading the reviews I opted for 38. Glad I did because these just fit with nothing to spare.

Which pant would work better in hot weather, the MSR Legend or Voyager ?

I would recommend the Msr Voyager because it has two large intake vents and exhaust vents, and it is also partly made of a lighter mesh material. While the Msr Legend has smaller intake zippers on the thigh.

Depends on how tight you have you Tech 7 boots. I have Tech 7's and these pants and they aren't super tight, but my preference is to also have this a bit baggier than normal.

I wear these pants for adventure riding and they are outstanding. I was \wearing the FOX titan knee guards and they fit no problem. I switched to the Thor comp XP knee guards super comfortable, and a lot more room in the knees of the pants.

From my personal experience no, these did not shrink. We suggest that these are machine washed cold and either air dried or on a gentle tumble in the dryer.
