Details
As part of their 626 line of gear that’s new for 2017, Klim’s Revener Jacket is their top-of-the-line offering that’s designed to be city/lifestyle wear and functional motorcycle gear. From a wide view, the Revnener has the looks of a classic Carhartt jacket with technicality that only slightly sets it off as a piece of technical motorcycle gear.
Going deeper, the Revener uses a waterproof Gore-Tex® performance shell as its outer-most layer and hides a full suite of CE rated armor underneath it for outstanding protection from the weather and impact. The jacket also has the smaller, more nuanced features you expect to see in Klim jackets including magnetic buttons, a nice rain gutter along the front entry, and nicely finished collar and cuffs that don’t chafe your skin.
Overall, the Revener works nicely as both a style piece and moto gear that can be worn for an array of situations. At the mid-500 dollar price point, you are paying for a level of subdued style, but it’s the inclusion of the technical features hidden behind those looks that really give the Revener its usability and versatility.
