Just what I was looking for -- some protection in a pair of pants that doesn't advertise "he wants everyone to know he rides a motorcycle." I am 5'10" and 175 lbs. My waist measures 36" and my inseam measures 33.5" from crotch to ground. However, 34 x 32 in relaxed cargo pants are roomy and comfortable (thank you vanity sizing, America!). 34 x 32 would have fit fine and were even a little roomy in the waist. But, except for short errands, I typically wear Moto-Skiveez padded adventure shorts (a serious butt saver on these seats!). This, along with the fact that these pants will shrink a little over time (cotton), led me to buy a size 36 x 32. Glad I did -- way too big in the waist, but much more comfortable without getting all bunched up in the middle, and the waist is easily handled with a belt. If the store had 36 tall, I would have tried them on. The length of 36 x 32 is fine standing, but another inch or 2 while seated would be nice as these barely cover the top of my half-high riding boots. I highly recommend these pants.
