  • MSR™ Xplorer ADV Jacket

Regret the purchase just to save a little money. Ne...

I bought both the jacket and pants of the MSR Xplorer and regret it. Ultimately the biggest shortcoming of this set is NOT being able to connect the back of the pants to the jacket somehow and not having some kind of integrated suspender for the pants. The back of the pants fall down a bit when riding and the bottom of the jacket raises up at the same time. When riding in the cold (e.g. below 40°F) wearing appropriate base layers and mid layers, the only part of me that gets cold is my lower back where cold air gets in. I've tried a few different suspenders and ultimately a good pair of Y suspenders that cost $30 helped with this problem. It also helps if I periodically stand up on the bike and pull the jacket down to sit on its tail. I'm 6', 1", chest 44"; waist at navel 42", 33" inseam. Exchanged large jacket for an XL 4 space for mid layers. Pants are 36Reg. Too short for 8" boots to keep rain out but ok for 14" boots.

  • MSR™ Voyager Adventure Jacket

Rated 4.00 out of five stars.★★★★☆

    Trevor in PA

    Excellent for the money.

I'm 6'2" 265 bought a XXL. Fits really well. Have about 1,200 miles with this on in mostly 40-70 degree weather. Lots of pockets, ventilation is really good too. I'd say this jacket will get hot around 80 degrees or higher and it's fine down to about 40 or so. Waterproof so far. Only thing I don't like is the collar area. The zipper/cover get a little bunched up and is a little uncomfortable. It also restricts my range of motion quite a bit. Might just be my neck size or just needs more time to break in.

  • REV'IT! Eclipse 2 Jacket

Rated 5.00 out of five stars.★★★★★

    Rey in UT

A quality and effective PPE jacket by REV'IT

Simple summer riding jacket. It flows a lot of air. True to size. It effectively protected me when I was T-boned on my motorcycle. It remains my primary riding jacket in the Spring and Summer. I purchased the optional back CE armor. Simple jacket just the two side pockets.

    Techdura jacket

The jacket is great, feels good, comfortable ( w/o outside carrier) but the outside vest constricts movement and it doesn't stretch plus there's no protection

  • Alpinestars Venture XT Adventure Touring Jacket

Rated 5.00 out of five stars.★★★★★

AStars Venture XT - don't leave home without it.

Drive a 95 DR650 w/ 8k original miles mint. Started year ago. After many years off from my youthful MX days I came back to DSport ADV style and wonder why I left. This is my first jacket ever and I tried many on and was never satisfied. Astars hit the nail on the head! Only gripe - waterproof zippers throughout would have been smarter. 6' tall 160lbs. Euro build. Fit is spot on Medium.
