I bought this vest because the portability of the internal battery seemed like a good idea as I have 2 bikes and ride both. Turns out you only get 2 hours of heat time on high setting. The other day I set off on a ride with temps in the mid 30's. I also have a heavy leather jacket, but the vest set at medium made the cold tolerable. I didn't even try the high setting because I was looking at 4 to 5 hours of ride time and didn't want to run out of battery at 2 hours. Well, the battery died somewhere around 4 hours. The vest heats well, and would probably be OK for a commuting situation, but for longer rides, the battery life is the weak link. Not a knock on the vest, but for my situation, it just doesn't work. I returned it and am getting a hardwired 12v vest that I can run on high for as long as necessary. Quality of the vest seems good. My motorcycle jackets are larges and I got a large vest and it fit well. Quite comfortable. If you're considering this vest, it works well, just make sure it fits your needs work the short battery life.

These have worked well.... A bit bulky.. Think the fit is definitely on the small side. I'm between an MD and LG... got the LG and it's a bit tight....

I do a lot of long rides, so these are perfect to switch out in the middle of the ride, then charge the dead battery's while I'm continuing riding. I basically have infinite heat glove time now

This cable works with the Mosko Ectotherm, and appears to be the same part they ship with the jacket. Good for wiring another bike.

This SAE to Coax adaptor is just the thing to connect the SAE lead I already have attached to my bike's battery, to the 12V-powered midlayer from those folks at rhymes-with-mosquito.
