I purchased this to remedy some of the buffeting. As we all know every rider has different experiences with what is the right amount of wind. My suggestion would be to make a mock add on from cardboard and tape to your windscreen to see if it'll help you. I am 5'11" and the OEM windscreen would hit me mid visor to upper chin. now it hits me right above the visor. I thought about removing the windscreen which has helped others, but then my zumo xt mounted on the cross bar vibrates a lot.

I installed this on my 2024 tenere 700. works great for my Zumo XT. The top cross bar does vibrate a bit, but not too bad. If you're using this for a GPS, the usb plug on the '24 T7 puts out 5V 2A. If you snip and solder a usb before the drop down, it works pretty well to charge the zumo xt. Install was pretty straight forward. I did use some blue loctite on the bolts once I figured out the correct angle and position.

Installed on a 2024 t7. Night and day difference on gravel roads with the occasional looser rock and holes. Im 205lb with gear, I purchased the 90nm spring. Eventually Ill have a dog on the back with luggage, so I chose the stiffer one. No preload Im sitting at 55mm race sag, Yamaha suggests 60mm. Install was easy enough. I went the sketchy route and used some cam straps and a floor jack to remove and install the spring. Next time Id get some coil tools.

Easy to install. Worked great. Good quality. Look at also getting a shorter kick stand, if u do the 40mm. T7

The rally raid tank bolts are an exact fit and a nice piece of insurance. A secondary benefit to the design is in the unlikely event of a failure the Allen bolt can be removed from the frame without a drill and tap. Definitely worth the investment
