Tusk Tire Repair Trail Kit

Details

The Tusk Tire Repair Trail Kit is a must-have for any long trail rides. This kit is equipped with a CO2 inflator, three 16-gram CO2 cartridges, 6 various patches, 10 tire plugs, tire reamer, plug installation tool, two 12-gram tubes of rubber solution, valve stem puller/core remover, low pressure tire gauge and a knife. The durable nylon carrying case keeps everything together while riding out on the trails.

Comes with CO2 inflator, (3) 16-gram CO2 cartridges, (6) various patches, (10) tire plugs, tire reamer, plug installation tool, (2) 12-gram tubes of rubber solution, valve stem puller/core remover, low pressure tire gauge and a rubber knife.
Durable nylon carrying case keeps everything together while out riding on the trails.
Recommended 5 cartridges for larger ATV and UTV tires (27" +) and 4 cartridges for smaller ATV/UTV tires (under 26").

Great Kit

I bought this to have on my adventure bike. Fits perfectly under my seat. I used it to patch a nail hole I picked on my street. The patch has held for 2500 miles.

Must have in every toolkit

Everything looks good, quality of the reamer and plug applicator is good. I haven't had the misfortune to use the kit yet it sits quietly waiting for that day in the tool bag.

Good kit, a must have on trail.

This kit includes almost everything you need for any repairable tire on the trail. For larger tires you may need a few extra compressed air cartridges.

Do the CO2 cartridges go bad? If so, how long until they need to be replaced? I assume additional cartridges can be purchased separately.

They will not go bad. Once they are out you can replace them with 1170640001 .

How do you use a plug kit?

The kit provides plugs to repair small punctures in tires. After coating the plug with glue provided in the plug you insert the plug into the puncture ( using a tool also proved). After it sets you air tire up and you’re on your way.

Does the hose work with a presta valve?

No, the hose is designed for use with schrader valves, however you should be able to use a screw on adapter on a presta valve to connect the hose.

No, the kit comes and a whole with all parts needed. You might be able to get away without using the hose, but we don't have info showing that the kit should be used without the hose.

Can you use the patches on sidewall tears on an atv?

It is not recommended to patch a sidewall of a tire because there is a very large risk to you and your machines safety. It is very likely to tear again if patched.
