This tire hitch is well made and simple to install. It only takes 3 bolts to remove it when needed. Great product.

Very well made
Carrier is a perfect fit, delivered super fast and installed in about 1/2 hour. Was very securely packaged.
Would be nice if they included 4 lug nuts but thats really a small complaint.

Nice and strong spare tire carrier.
Pretty good. It's definitely very strong and made of heavy gauge steel. The horizontal bracket that reaches under the Polaris General bed to prevent the tire carrier from wiggling around attaches to two holes in the metal frame below the bed. This is fine. But I found it difficult to remove the entire carrier due to these bolts being hard to get to. So I drilled the holes out to 3/8 inch (they were barely smaller than that already) and inserted 3/8 inch diameter hitch pins thus this connection point can be easily removed. I did bend the horizontal bracket arms (you'll know what this is when you see the carrier yourself) inwards a bit so that they have to be manually spread a bit to attach properly. This ensures that they are in the correct position with the hitch pins as unlike the now replaced bolts, the hitch pins allow the bracket arms to not be snug to the bed frame, thus a bit of rattling is possible. Now with the pre-load on the arms they are snug and no rattle.
I also replaced the supplied bolt for the 2 inch receiver and replaced with a standard hitch pin there. I had to drill out the hole in the carrier "drawbar" piece just a bit. But now there are no threads to unscrew to remove it, which I'm thinking would bind up with dirt and dust anyways. Seems that Tusk should have made this an option anyways.
Note that this carrier does prevent one from the opening the tailgate and tilting the bed. But, on the General XP at least, I can reach under the bed to check the engine oil. And now with the hitch pin method it "only" takes 5 minutes to remove the entire carrier including removing the tire from the carrier.
Lastly, I have a small tool set for just this case of removing the spare tire and carrier so the whole operation can be performed on the trail if needed with little fan fare.

A must accessory!
Love it! I didnt get any instructions with mine, but it was pretty simple to figure out the install. I originally had my spare mounted on the rear roll bars, which raised the center of gravity a bit and blocked my view out the rear. This lowered the center of gravity and gives me great visibility to the rear now. I also purchased the scissors jack at the same time, and it makes a great combo. The jack installs onto the mount and keeps it out of the way, yet is accessible when needed. The entire setup is solid and heavy duty and doesnt rattle at all. Its one of the best accessories weve gotten for our Teryx!

Great addition to my Teryx
Easy to install and looks great on my machine. Looks really solid and doesn't rattle. Now I can have the peace of mind that comes with being able to carry a spare tire in the backcountry.

Looks great, very functional no issues in almost two years.
Once I got the tube of the spare carrier to slip in place it has been one of my best purchases. Easy to remove when I need the full bed and looks great. We get asked where we got it and if it drags on steep hill . I just tell them it is not a hill climb machine but if it were we have never had any issue with clearance.

It works good. With a Polaris General and the standard mount it keeps you from using your tailgate or dump bed and restricts your rear view camera so I put a hitch extender on it solves most of the problems.

Is this something that can come off easy to use hitch or is it bolted on?

Bobby MI have a similar setup with a 21 Teryx 4 S LE. The SxS with spare tire carrier still fits my 12’ trailer with the gate closed. Due to the location of the tie downs on my trailer relative to how far forward the SxS sits to accommodate the spare tire carrier, I do have to cross-tie front to back and back to front to effectively secure it in transport.

The way this hitch mounts prevents the bed from being tipped back. You could remove the two bolts from the outside of the upper support which would allow some movement of the bed.

Marc BI have my SXS positioned with E-Track wheel chocks to balance my load. I must remove it to close my ramp. I did not anticipate that, but it just takes a few minutes to install/remove it. Five lug nuts and three bolts and it slips out and I travel with it in the dump bed of my General.
William WDoes this have to be removed every time you want to open the tailgate or use the dump bed?
Tim HYes it does. Once you get it installed on your Side by side it’s solid. You can still reach in and get things out of the bed but in order to open the tailgate or dump bed to wash it or change an air filter you have to remove the spare tire, then the 2 bolts that attach the bed frame bracket to the tire mount and the bolt going through the receiver hitch. The tire mount will pull out of the receiver. It’s a small inconvenience but it’s a solid product that stays tight with no rattles.

No this will not work with a bed extender this is designed for the original bed length.

I'm sorry but we haven't tested these two-aftermarket parts with each other. We currently don't know how the fitment would work for that. We suggest using your best judgement.
