  This is a strong mount but I do not recommend it for off-road as there is too much shake. This works much better for road applications. I ran it with an adapter.

  I bought this as an option to mount my phone to the bars. It works well but I cannot seem to get the bar strap tight enough to keep the mount from moving. I suspect this is partially user error and partially with me being overly critical. It does take some effort to move the mount, so I am discounting this "issue".

  I have never had one of these mounts fall off even if they do not have 100% contact to something. I have bought knock off brand ones before and they are awful. Just get these and save yourself the hassle.
