  Carburetor works wonderfully once you buy the tools...

  Great carb. But for the price you don't even get the little tool to adjust the metering rod. I called the manufacturer and they said you must buy the tool separately or use a pair of pliers! Ridiculous!

  Lectron Metering Rod Adjusting Tool

  Useful and protects the metering rod.

  The tool allows easy precise adjustments on the metering rod without the use of pliers with a rag which could still gouge or bend the rod. The secret of the carb is the metering rod and you don't want to mess it up. A little pricey though.

  Keep an eye on the throttle cable wear.

  The carb seems to work well as I go up and down elevation in Colorado. BUT, be sure to check for wear on the cable, up at the throttle end. It wore out and broke just after 2 1/2 years of riding. I was able to connect a zip tie to the cable with a simple knot and then use my thumb to pull on it and get out of the woods.
