Bulletproof for the win!

These are great! Easy install and super strong. They are not the cheapest you can buy, but after installing them I can see why. I would definitely buy these again.

Bullet Proof radiator guards

I've installed these guards on both my KTM 350 EXC and my Beta Xtrainer 300. Install was easy, fit was perfect and they look great. Wish I had installed them before I turned the radiators into candidates for the recycling bin. Thanks to RMATV/MC for the credit when the price decreased.

INSTALLATION EASE SOLD ME!

I was having a hard time re-installing some other radiator guards that came with the bike when I bought it. The guards were WAY easier to install and are much more durable and protective and the look great too.

Durable!!

Bullet Proof proved to be a great investment on my KTM that is why I spent the $$ and put the on my new K250X.. I broke multiple radiator shrouds on the KTM but NEVER had radiator damage!! Yes they are expensive compared to other options out there and that is why I called it an investment.. I can't speak to the others but I know Bullet Proof is as their name implies!!!! Perfect fit witch means easy install.. I strongly recommend these especially if you do hard enduro or harescramble racing..

Not so bulletproof.

Not so bulletproof. This got twisted along with my radiator in a simple drop due to the front tire slipped. I was just running slow and boom. I was expecting better that this.

Will trail tech fan kit work with BPR radiator guards?

On my specific application, a 2011 Ktm 250 xcf, they did work with the Trail Tech fan kit. I think this is often the case because the guards only mount on the front of the radiator and the fan mounts on the sides and back.

Do these actually protect the radiators from getting mushed when the bike is crashed or do they just protect the fins from roost? In other words do you also still need radiator braces?

These protect the pushing back (unless you really really smash hard.. And I mean hard) and the twisting. I run them with Works connection braces but only because I had them first. You really only need these to keep them safe.

They bolted directly to my 2015 FE 350. And they fit like a glove. For my bike, the guards came with one new longer bolt for each side, and one bolt from the original plastic louvers was reused on each side. They're really nice guards...

Will these fit with radiator braces?

The bullet proof design guards went in between the mounting brackets of radiator (like an air scoop). As long as your braces are fitted outside and do not affect mounting of the radiators, you could have both. Seems overkill though.

I can't speak to your particular bike, but I have put them on a 2014 450 XCF and a 2018 300 XCW and both of them fit flawlessly. There are no additional mounting brackets needed. It took me about 20 minutes to put them on and I am not that much of a wrencher...

No chipping and took some major hits with no damage to radiators with barely a scratch on the guards. Not the cheapest, but worth the $$$

Will these work on a 2017 CRF450X with a IMS 3.2 gas tank ?

The Bullet Proof Designs Radiator Guard mounts in the front of the radiator and should not interfere with any larger tank. For example, an IMS 3.2 tank for your bike looks taller, but does not look like the tank goes to far forward towards the radiator to prevent installing the guard. Hope that helps.
