Purchased the 2.9 gallon Acerbis neutral tank for my 2024 Husqvarna FE 501 S. Fit is 100% as expected and the tank was able to fit 2.85 gallons on first fill, which is within the specs provided by Acerbis, not to mention I still had a very little air gap once the fuel settled. Good product and FAST shipping. It also comes with a gas cap which is so much easier than the OEM cap.
Installation was easy, just switch the fuel pump from the OEM tank (4 screws)

Great but not perfect.
Well I'm on my second one. The threaded inserts will spin on you super easily which will then cause it to leak. This is mostly operator error , but upon inspection once I was able to extract the threaded insert i found that the plastic the tank is formed from is very thin around these inserts which isn't ideal. Especially if your going to be taking your plastics on/off constantly for cleaning or maintenance.
Other than that its a huge fuel tank that works and looks awesome. there's a reason I bought a second one.

Love it holds the fuel great attaching fuel lines was tricky but it works well

Yamaha tenere 700
tank fits great, lighter than stock when it's not completely full. Be sure to have a spare fuel pump gasket on hand just in case

Great tank for YZ250x
Great tank for 24 YZ250x. Install was fairly easy. Dry break mounted right to pre-done holes which is a big perk over the IMS. Only problem: my stabilizer arm is in the way of dry break. I've reached out to GPR for help.

Works great. For anyone wondering if they will work with the Ktms TBI oil fill tank, they will. It has enough gap to take the cap off and fill your oil tank up. It was a concern for me but ended up working great!

Will not hold advertised fuel amount.
Tank fit fairly well. Had a little struggle getting the seat and plastics to align well. The biggest problem is it will not hold the advertised fuel. Had a long discussion with customer support and they reached out to acerbis. There is a disclaimer on the tag that says it may not hold the advertised fuel amount. Mine only held 3.2gal instead of 3.9 and acerbis said that's acceptable to them.

Install on Africa Twin
Install was pretty straightforward, the installation kit however was missing the bracket that the front of the seat hooks into. Works fine without it but will likely fabricate a bracket for it. Aside from the missing bracket though the additional range gives me peace of mind to go explore more.

Good for the price
Good over all fit tank for the price, had to smooth out around the petcock holes because of burs causing a leak and the vent tab broke off when trying to put the hose on it.

Does this tank sit higher where the gas cap is?
Trina UYes, on my 2009 KX450F the cap is about 2-3 inches higher than the stock tank. I didn't need a bigger tank, the stock tank cracked and this one was much cheaper. It works perfectly

i am interested in buying thus 3.0 tank for my 2014 ktm 450 sxf. on average how many miles does this tank give you ?
luis RMiles per gallon? We do not do testing on MPG. That is determined on many things out of our control: modified engine, aftermarket exhaust, is the bike ridden on single track trails, MX or sand dunes. All that determines the MPG not the size of the tank.
Brian F.All the YZ250 pictures looks like the radiator shrouds stick out and aren't flush with the gas tank. Am I seeing that right?
I have personally installed this tank on my 2019 YZ250X and the shrouds DO sit flush.

sage wI have the Acerbis tank on my KTM, but I am not familiar with the specifics of the IMS dry break. I don't know if it is cut for the IMS dry break, so I cannot provide a definite answer one way or the other. Sorry, but I just don't know.

I bought this tank as past of a 2003 YZ update project. The tank fit the seat and upgraded plastics like it was made exactly for my application. I would go this exact route again if I had to do it over.

Jason KI mounted the Acerbis tank 1.5 years ago on my 2017 KTM 300 XCW. I just went and verified, and the screws that hold the shrouds on thread into plastic recess holes in the tank, just like my KTM tank does. I used an original KTM petcock on the Acerbis tank and it has worked great. It also appears to use the same type of screw-into-plastic screws that hold the shroud on. I love the Acerbis tank because it fits like factory original, with every little indent and recess exactly matched to fit the shrouds, seat, and everything else. In other words, it's a perfect fit and I haven't had any leakage issues. It is the exact same width as the stock tank, with the extra fuel being held in the taller fuel cap area. I can still easily reach my spark plug for removal. I highly recommend the Acerbis tank.

jeffrey GThe tank that I bought was for fuel injected did not have peacocks. The original oem parts bolted right on easily the tank came with mounting hardware and a hose for gas cap no need to order extra parts

LUCAS SI would say yes but some radiator braces might need a little modification to fit your fan and factory thermostat would be fine
TONY CThis would be for a 2016 YZ250X. Can you still access the spark plug to do a trail change in the off-chance that a plug is fouled?
John DI have one on a 2017 yz250x and plug access is good. Tank feels slim and keeps a flat seat profile. I installed the tusk quick disconnect on the crossover line for easier tank removal Wich worked out great.
