Bought the youth for my son and he wears them without complaint. Price was my main reason for selecting these.

The shin guards fit better under my riding pants than my previous guards do. The EVS guards are more difficult to put on and take off due to being made of sleeves. I have not had long enough to evaluate their performance. Overall I like them so far.

Read reviews and purchased these not looking to over pay for knee guards. I like the extra fabric for the straps as well as the strap design. Once you have them set so size you just snap them on. A bit bulky in the kneecap area for me but very protective.

I upgraded from an old set of Knee pads that actually rubbed my knee raw. These provide better protection and are better for movement when sitting /standing. I did actually realize, the label in the knee pads actually are in the same place as my old pads. So, they actually rubbed on the same spot. But, just fold the label down and all is good.

Coming off the old left knee guard, this new updated model does have some better features that the old one doesnt have but there are some flaws. The fabric material is gone which is nice when it comes to Odor and there is also increase airflow with this model. But it does seem to flex a lot more than the older model and doesnt seem to be as supportive. The biggest deal breaker for me with this guard is that there is a really bad pressure point around the inside part when your knee cap is at. This pressure point makes it really hard to squeeze the bike and i had to call a trail ride short because of how painful it got. You can feel the pressure point in each bump on the trail. This is a completely subjective and everyones knee shape and characteristics is going to be different but i think the older model is more comfortable and offers more protection. The only benefit with this model is the increased airflow
